i almost gave this place a decent review, but the lack of free parking is utterly ridiculous for such a supposedly great establishment. as for the room, saying it was small would be an understatement, and frankly, they could have at least offered a complimentary gesture for the inconvenience. seriously, very disappointed.

During my stay, I was really impressed with the cleanliness and comfort of my room. The location was perfect, being just a short walk from the beach and various attractions like Pirates Bay Adventure Golf and Paignton Harbour. The breakfast was particularly delightful, with freshly made scrambled eggs that set you up for the day. I'd recommend this place to anyone looking to relax near the coast.

the barclay is ideally located just a short walk from the beach and local shops. our king room ensuite was great, spacious, and had a good size tv. the friendly atmosphere really stood out, and hosts like kirsti made us feel at home.

Had an awesome time. The place was cleaned every day which is nice, and they restocked our refreshments like it was nothing.

It wasn’t exactly a bargain, but it still felt worth it.

The bathroom in the family room felt a bit cramped, which might not work for everyone, particularly larger folks. parking wasn’t directly on-site, requiring a short walk to a nearby facility, and there were occasional delays at breakfast service during busier periods. A couple of rooms faced restrictions on views, impacted by surrounding structures, hindering the overall ambiance.

Had a lovely week here! The hosts were super friendly, and the little welcome drink was such a nice touch. My single room was always tidy, and those daily refreshments were a lifesaver! Just wished the shower pressure was a bit stronger. don't miss the special diet menus. they had great options!
